How Would You Stock A 4Ft Tank?

Looking for suggestions for stocking a new 4ft tank. How would you go about it? I am totally undecided whether to upgrade all of my fish or whether to go with something new...

oh I dunno... you might be able to get away with a couple of shrimp or a snail as well... if you keep on top of your water changes of course!

All joking aside, I'd upgrade/rearrange the fish you have at the moment and then add dithers as necessary - I thought Wills' suggestion was great.

I'd have yellow labs and what not mixture in it. Love them
