how would you convert a tropical tank to a marine tank would it be a nightmare to do what equipment would you need and would it fit on a tropical tank ?

i know basicly sod all about marine lol but a couple of things i can think of off the top of my head is a protein skimmer and if you plan on having corals etc a serious lighting upgrade.

also a tool for checking the salinity of your water i think its called a hygrometer ( but then im probably wrong)

ok so now ive finished being no help whatsoever i will leave you in the capable hands of the learned ones
