How Would Puffers Do With Africans?

I know puffers are mean little suckers but is a puffers agression level on par with african cichlids? Would puffers kill my africans or would my africans kill the puffers? Or are the puffers tough enough that they would simply keep each other at bay?

Depends what puffers, really. All have different personalitys, but I would think that your africans would kill them? Puffers arnt exactly "agressive", they just fin nip. I think.

Personally, I wouldnt do it.

I think unless you had a very large puffer (along the lines of a fahaka or mbu) the mbuna would find them to be a very tasty snack.

id love it to work, coz it sounds like a great combo in theory.
but yeah i think the puffers would get their ass's kicked.
ive had bichirs work well with africans if you want something different
