I've got this crocrea clam and as you can see from the pic below it looks okay but you know how you look from above and get all the "real" colors? How to get that pic? The water is moving up there and if I stop it with my hand then the clam closes up. I tried turning off the powerheads and the clam closed up for that too. Any other suggestions?
It bothers me because I can't get a nice pic of all the greens and blues....

Strech Clingfilm over the lens of the camera and submerge the lens about an inch or whatever is safe, this will get rid of the rippling effect

You will get a clear pic this way

:good:

the colour differences will be caused by the lighting and the camera... does it have a white balance option?

Cut up a plastic drinks bottle and mount it over the clam on the waters surface. This will keep the water surface perfectly still and allow a good, clear shot.
