Hi all,

I'm currently going through fishless cycling (as per my journal thread).

I just wondered once it's cycled do i add the full stock straight away or should I wait a few weeks putting in each type of fish?

I'm planning on getting...

10 Zebra Danios
10 Tiger Barbs
Rest space some lil cory's.

I think that the Cory's might need a bit more mature tank thank a freshly cycled one?

Panda Corys are the only Corys I know that need a mature tank, Peppered are a harder and very cute option, grow to 5-7cm. If you want lots of fun go for Pygmy's they like breeding a lot too and spend lots of time in the mid levels.

Make sure you don't get long fin zebra danios as the Tiger Barbs might ge aggressive, and they're bad I lost a Guppy to them and had to re home the others.

Oh and to answer your main question I heard it's ok the fully stock more or less straight after because otherwise a lot of bacteria will die.

If you are brave there is no reason not to stock 100% on day one. However, some people for whatever reason feel happier to fully stock over 3 days although this requires 3 trips to the LFS which seems like a pain to me. I fully stocked my 10UK gallon straight away and only suffered 1 death.

:good:
