How To Plant On Bogwood?

How do i get a natural look of plants growing on bogwood. What are the best plants, mosses i assume, but how do i attatch them?

there are plants the naturally attach to wood or surfaces like that... the ones that i can think of now are

mosses,
anubias sp.
microsorum pteropus sp.
java fern. windelov etc etc. i think there are more

you just tie them to the wood and wait for them to take root.
