I can't seem to stop looking at this tank. How was the substrate made? Is it just a layer of sand with plants/moss on top? What kind of plant/moss is it? How easy is it to clean and does it release/collect a lot of detritus. How big is this tank?

My main questions are really about the substrate or moss carpet which is amazing.

Best bet is to ask the owner of the tank how he/she got it to look like that

The really most important question is what kind of moss is carpeting the bottom?

Not sure, why don't you inbox the owner of the tank and ask them? It's this guy: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/user/71151-ps3steveo/

I might be wrong, but I dont think that carpet is moss.

The carpet is Cuba I believe nice small plant that needs high light ferts and co2 to get it to look like this

It's this one. Lovely tank.

Hi guys, the Substrate is Colombo Florabase (leeches ammonia), plant is Hemianthus Callitrichoides "Cuba", It requires good flow, CO2 and fertilizers, not an easy plant really but if you get the balance right it will spread and look great.

Thanks for the kind comments btw :), hope this helps, any other questions inbox me as I'm not in this area of the forum a lot. :)
