Hi guys.
I currently have a small 6uk gallon (8us gallon) tank. The light I have for this tank is only 11watts.
The tank is also only about 40cm long.
Are there are smaller yet compact lights out there that would fit my smaller tank so I could increase the lighting to about 2-3 watts per gallon?

Thanks guys.
If I get another 11watt then my lighting will be at just over 3watts per uk gallon.
Would the majority of plants be ok with this level iof light?

most people have around 18-22w on a nano tank. And they can grow any plant.

Just supplement with liquid carbon as it is dead cheap ona small tank

Ok great.
A second light and some liquid carbon it is then.
Would you reccomend any more addatives for the plants, or will the liquid carbon do it?

Im looking forward to finally making something of this tank, it looks so horrid at the minute

Ok thanks.
I just have two more questions.
1) I currently have sand as the substrate, would you reccomend changing this? if so, what to?
2) I have a marine reef tank so I use my RO water on this tank too. Would you reccomend I just use de-chlorinated tap water instead?

thanks
Josh

1) it will give you less problems in the long run. I would reccomend JBL aquabasis+ capped with sand or gravel.

2) use tap water, cheap and more affective as it contains minerals and nutrients required for plants health/ growth
