How To Determine If I Fish Is Just Fat Or Has Dropsy?

I was wondering how other peopledetermine if I fish is just fat or has dropsy?

Do raised scales happen in every case of dropsy?

How long can a fish have dropsy for?

If a fish looks bloated there something wrong, if there abit tubby they should look solid.

I have never seen a fish with dropsy that did not have protruding scales. A fish with advanced dropsy will live a week or so in most cases, there is no cure and it does not seem to be transmittable to other fish.
