Hi, I just bought a second hand juwel rio 400. It's got lots of dry'd on algea spots all over the glass. A cloth and water isn't working so I try using a green scowering pad on the side panel as a test and it's leaving small scratches. Has anyone got any tips before I start cleaning the front of the tank as I don't want scratches on the front.

I'm going to wait till I set it up next week and when full of water, leave to soften up a few days and then use my algea scrubber as I do on my other tanks.

Fill it with water for a couple of days, often this will soften it enough to gently scrape it off with a razor blade. Don't try this on anything but glass.
