Well, i tried just chucking clumps in, but an hour later i decided to plant it indivually.

How thick should i plant in in order to create a good carpet?

Should i leave room inbetween or just cram it all together or what?

Heres how i have it so far...

thats fine.

i will probably go leggy unless you have good co2 and ferts. a nutritious substrate will help and decent light.

Well i dose TPN+ and easycarbo and im waiting on a nutrafin co2 kit.

Heres my first attempt,

Then i decided that looked like a half-assed attmpt so i grabbed my tweezers and sat for about half an hour planting. :p

Right so, that SHOULD thicken up, right? Im not too bothered about it carpeting as i want to to stay rouchly in the area ive planted it.

Im glad really, ive got more in a bucket but im sick of planting it...

Planting HC has to rank as possibly the most tedious thing I've ever had to do in this hobby, though it is worth it, mine's starting to fill in a bit more and it's looking good. You definitely made the right choice by replanting it properly dude.

You can plant it as individual stems or in 8th pot clumps and anything in between. It all works but it's a balance between instant effect, time and cost!

i like it alot mate =]

im tempted to grow some, but im fed up with rescaping my tank at the moment =/

Much better planting, but i did plant like you origianlly did and still growing pretty well even with low light.... didnt have the patience to plant it ploperly lol :p, will do next time if thats the result though :good:
