how silly

a friend of ours has done something unbelievable after talking about going from glodfish to tropicals i warned him about doing a fishless cycle & not putting any of his goldfish with the new tropicals, well thats about the only bit of advice he listened to .
went round today & there is this around 13uk gallons i think it is with......wait for it 2 angel fish around 5 neon tetras around 5 of another type of tetra & 2 i think they were bronze corys .
he has set this tank up TODAY & lfs has sold him all these fish. i mean the tank looks lovely but for how long i don't know, did warn him of all problems that he now has coming up. he wasn';t even going to a water change for 2 weeks, so him to do 1 soon.
well thats my rant poor fishys

Try and get him to take them all back, Its all you can do really, Then send him here if he has interent access.

jeez he seems real stubborn....Siamese Fighter05: i highly dobt the guy will listen. trace1 why dont you show him articles on the net about "new tank syndrome" along with what happens to large fish in a too small of a tank(talking about the angels). i know how you feel: a friend of mine got a 10 gal originaly to get some DPs then she decided goldfish and and a plec which i talked her into 1 fantail and 3 ottos. then she went and got 3 glass fish or sissor tail raspboras, 4 neons, 2 or 3 danios, 3 platies, 3 mollies, and 3 guppies. then the neons and a platy got chopped by the filter. all the guppies have died and then she got more of them. and now she has lost 1 or 2 or the class fish or sissor tail raspboras. i fear to go over and see the tank. im not even sure if she has done partials as i told her shes need to do.

i wouldn't mind but i told him all about the fishless cycle before & about water changes i mean i'm no expert & i don't even pertend to know a half as much as peeps on here know thats why i'm on so much trying to find new stuff out myself. he is really stubbon hes the same when my hubby gives him advice on his car (hubby is a mechanic) he even questions that

yeah it does, think the only good thing he did was put some media in his filter from a cycled tank, but think he got that from same lfs so you never know if thats gona b right either

Well acturally fish cycle can also work. But matter effect he will loss some fish thats all.
