hi can you give me a good way of breeding plattys i have tried to do it with the fish in a the normal breeding temperature but nothings happening

How many males and females do you have, and what size tank? Platies usually breed like no tomorrow...are you sure you have males and females?

A mix of one male to 2-3 females should give you some results. There is also a risk that the male is sterile, but not likely, as Anna has said they usually breed like crazy.

Breeding platties is almost enevitable, a few females to one male and you gonna get fry, nothing surer than that. What is the pH of your water. Platties thrive in water that is slightly alkaline pH 7.3 - 7.5 and a temperature of 25'C.
If all else fails try a different male.
But be sure you can handle (have space for) a large amount of these little beauties.
