How Old To Let Platy Fry Into Community Tank?

So my platy fry are now seven weeks old, they are around 1.5CM

I am right on the verge of letting them swim with the community but I am scared to death that they will get eaten and i will have given seven weeks hard work to watch them both die!

The only things i worry about are the two bol' ram cichlids and the female Siamese fighter which seems to stalk new fry every time they appear.

Any ideas when I should take the leap?

I'd wait a bit till they're a bit bigger. Do you have plenty of hiding places or plant cover in the tank that might give them a better chance if they can stay out of the line of sight of the rams.

The rule of thumb is dont add them to a tank until they are too big to fit into the other fishes mouths!

Give them big water changes daily and feed them frequently. This will help them grow. If they are in a tiny, tiny space it won't work.
