How Often To Cycle?

Hi guys quick and easy topic. I need to know how often do I cycle my tanks? I have 3 tanks currently in the cycle procces- my  2.5 holder tank - my 5.5 holder tank and my 10 gal. All using the fish less fish cycle with fish food. Thanks!

You only do the one cycle. It lasts forever as long as the filter has an ammonia source( i.e fish ).

cycle with fish food is not the best way to do it. Go buy some household ammonia =D

Second that, using ammonia is more efficient. Plus invest in a API test kit so you can monitor your progress. Visit the beginners section for more information on cycling your tanks.

It is not just more efficient, it is more controllable, and thus less prone to problems.

+1. Ammonia is the only way if you ask me but the problem is I heard it is getting more difficult to buy because apparently it can be used as an ingredient to make explosives which 'they' don't want anyone doing. I got mine from homebase in the uk but others have tried their since and said they no longer stock it. eBay might be an option.
