How Often If Ever Do You Do A Major Tank Cleaning?

I just did a big time cleaning. What I mean by this is. I did 90% wc, took decor out cleaned it of algea, added some new sand, cleaned the glass, trimmed plants, and vacuumed under or where all decor was. really getting all that hard to reach stuff.

Just wondering if other people do this? have 3 tanks and my 20 Gal and 55 gal I will clean like this every 6 months. my 36 gal I do once a year.

about every 2-3 months they all get an over-haul! i prune plants and waterchange where appropriate inbetween "big" maintainance". squeeze out sponge filters and do canister filter clean(this sometimes goes longer depending on flow-sponge filters every 3 months or so tho)
