How much

Hi

I just wanted to ask how many plants do people have in their tanks?

I was always told not to put a lot in but my tank used to look bare, and after looking at the lovely photos on here, i think they were wrong.

Sorry it this is a silly question.

It depends on how big your tank is really, i mean i have a small 5 gallon tank in my room and i have 2 plants in it, but i also have a large filter.

i would add a few to make it look good.... but leaving space for them to grow

but not too many so the fish cant swim freely between them

other than that its personal preference

Used to have lots - 16 species in my 34 Gallon. I only have about 5 now though - So much maintenance, too little time.
