I have a 360L tank which i want to be heavily planted. I just got an over the tank lighting system which has 2 T5 54W tubes and a 'highly polished' reflector. I was advised that a third tube would be a 'highly lit' aquarium, and hence, unnecessary.
I am looking at buying plants which require the aquarium to be highly lit. Is mine highly lit? Could i do with getting another lighting unit but with a single T5 in it?
FYI, i will also be using a CO2 unit.
Looking at my aquarium just now, it does not look too bright! It has about 1/3 to half the surface area of the top of the aquarium as glass (its a custom build, so that it so save the walls of the aquarium falling away
), so i dont know if that takes a lot of the energy out of the lights?
