Hello:
I've set up a 60 gallon tank with a Fluval 70 aquaclear filter and am wondering how much you should rinse the carbon component of the filter.
Are you supposed to rinse it until you don't see any more carbon coming out or just a quick rinse?
I noticed later that there was carbon sinking to the gravel and eventually discovered the carbon bag had a hole in it. Maybe that was why I saw so much carbon when I was rinsing it - not sure.
I also added API Quick Start Aquarium Cycling Water Conditioner and was wondering how well that worked for a faster cycling of the tank.
Thanks so much for any help.
