Alright, evry knows the golden rule to not overfeed. I just recently added my clean up crew and wonder if they are actually getting anything to eat. My 36gal community gets a pinch or two of flake,I try to put in just enough for them to eat and have none hit bottom, 4-5 bottom pellets, and with the new plec and not much algae - maybe 1 or two algae wafers just at the evening feeding. ( I do one morning and one evening feeding). Every couple of days some bloodworms for a treat. My silver dollars seem to eat the majority of everything that goes in before any of the bottom feeders can get to it. Does this sound like a lot, not enough? The cories never seem to find the food. I'm looking for some advice as well as comparisons to what and how much others feed?

Sorry for the double entry. I just read a related thread on the beginner section and WOW. It sounds like I am feeding too much. I will cut back.

i overfeed my fish.... i no i do... it dont matter though cuz they are young, fat, and the water is clean, there is no such thing as un eaten food in cichlid tanks haha

We gauge how much food to feed our fish by how long it takes to dissapear. If it's eaten in less than a minute, then chances are they're not getting enough. Any longer than 2 - 3 mins and they are probably getting too much.

Depends on the fish & the food. A tank with just corys will take longer than 3 minuites to polish off even a small pinch. Juvie angels will eat the flake before it gets halfway to the bottom, even a huge amount.
