it says 1 drop per gallon on the bottle, but i dont know how big one drop is?!? this may seem stupid but one drop could be a splash or pouring it in...i dont know?!? at the moment, for every bucket of water i take out (about 9 litres per bucket) im putting two cap fulls in if this helps?

cheers

I guess a drop is about 1ml and if it sats 1drop per GALLON then 2 capfulls per bucket is a bit much. Does it say on the bottle how many gallons or litres a full bottle treats? And what size bottle is it?

right ok just read the bottle, its a 50ml bottle and it says it will treat 200 litres so i have been using a bit much havnt i haha!

Its fine, even preferable for immature bacterial colonies, to overdose dechlorinator by 1.5x or 2x but its good to not go higher than 2 times the recommended dosing because it may slow the development of the nitrite oxidizing beneficial bacteria.

A drop is just that, one drop from an eyedropper. The size is governed by viscosity not than the size of the dropper opening. One drop of the same liquid from a bucket is the same amount as one drop from an eyedropper.

Dechlorinator is generally the same viscosity as water, 20 drops per ml for both.

Droppers graduated in ml are available at most any drug store, pretty cheap.
