Hi all!

I have a 126litre tank (I think this is about 27.5 Gallons) with the following fish:

6x Neon Tetra
5x Black Widow Tetra
3x Harlequins
2x Ottos

Is this a good stock level for the tank?

It sounds good, as long as you do enough water changes it will be ok. I mean look at my 20gal tank. You could mabye add a few more fish but do over do it.

Cool! I just wanted to be careful, as I am not sure how small the tank will look when these fish are fully grown, and I like them to have as much space as they need..

I was thinking about maybe just adding a couple of 'show' fish to the tank to complete it.. Any suggestions about what would compliment my tank without being too big, or eating my other fish/plants!! ?

Thanks for your help!

Chris

dude u got more then enuf space.

You have room for some more fish. If you do add more i would suggest increasing the harlequins up to 7-8. They like to be in large groups and look great when they are.

Thanks for the advice! I put the Harlequins in as a group of 3, because my local aquarium had just a group of three in their tank. Will they happily accept other harliquins added later?

Thanks..

Yes, harlequins are not too bad with doing that. They readily accept new additions. May be some posturing initially but nothing to worry about.
