How Many To A Tank?

i was wondering how many females to a gallon? i have a 20h and a 29 both us gallons. how many can go in them

I have a 26G and I have 8 girls in there at the moment. I did have 9 at one time. Just need lots of hidey holes and places to 'escape' from one another

Could I have a groups of girls in with a group of small tetra?

I think 8 would be a good number to have in a tank that size and as Ozgrrl said just make sure you have lots of places for them to hide.

Mermaidmel: i have 12 females in with rosey, lemon and silver tip tetra and they all seem to get on just fine in fact they are in with lots of other community fish and i have never had any problems but then i do have lots of places for them to hide too
