I just applied myxazin directly to my Dwarf Gouramis wound using a cotton bud, he didn't seem to mind at all, he's very friendly and swims to the top when i open the lid so he's easily caught.

I was just wondering though how many times do I treat with myxazin directly to the wound? And how often? Once daily?

The wound is getting pretty bad and i've tried all other meds so want to see if applying directly will help.

Thanks :good:

But it you do treat-once a day for 5 days then do a largish water change.

She used myxazin and other bacterial meds and they havent worked.
I think she needs to now look into dwarf gourami desease as the sores won't heal.

Yeah-ive used myxazin before-cant see it sorting out that problem.....

Sadly yes I do think you are wasting your time.
Plus it will stress the fish out having to remove it from the tank and dab the wounds.
Your only option is a vet to perscribe an antibiotic which you would have to use in issolation.
Ther bacteria infection might of caused internal damage.
