How many Tetras?

Hi again guys,
just bought a new tank yesterday & i was wondering how many Tetras ( Glowlight or Black Neon probably) do you think i could keep in this tank? its about 10 UK gallons & i only want Tetras in this tank..nothing else cept plants & senic stuff

HaHa Im sorry but I just have to add my bit to this and tell my story about how much he loves his fishies, yesterday we went on a huge mission to buy his new 10gall tank, it took us a 20 min walk to the train station, then a 10min journey ,then probly another 15min walk to the pet store,he then purchased his "tetra" tank and walked all the way back home with it.

Hi Budmaster.

You should be able to squeeze about 20” of fish into this tank, when it is fully matured. With good filtration you can push the tank limits, past what should be considered the tanks limit, but things can then quickly go wrong.

Someone told me to have only 1 fish per gallon, but i guess it would depend on the size of the fish right? Me with tetras i would put about 15 to 20.


And a cool tetra to add would be flame tetras. They are red and silver.

well i kinda changed my plans.....got 2 red wagtailed platy's & 6 Rasbora Harlequins for the tank! B) Probably be switching fish between tanks at some point depending on how big they get but atm the tank looks great & hopefully it isnt too full to be a problem during the rest of the cycling process
