How many pounds does it take to get...

Hey all.
I don't know how many pounds of gravel to get for my 29 gallon tank! The gravel I'm buying is about the size of a pebble, so larger than your normal gravel. Is there some kind of equation like, lengthxwidth divided by 10 equals how many pounds, or something like that?

Im trying to remember how much I had to buy from Wal Mart for mine. I know it was about 7 bags or so.

I dont even use it now.

Instead I have Arkansas Rock I bought at a local nursery. I got 50lbs for $4.75.

I have a 20 gallon tank......and i used a 20 pound bag
try 25 punds...you can always add more

I lke to add 1.5 lbs of substrate per gallon of water. ie: my 10 gallon tank has 15 lbs. of substrate

This is the equation:

10 X tank size / length - width * (3.14²)! = how much you need

I use 1 pound per gallon
