How Many Litres In A Gallon?

Imperial or US?

US G = 3.8L
Imp G = 4.5L

edit, actually 3., memory failed me.

4.54 in an Imperial (UK) gallon

3.78 in a US gallon

As far as I know most aquariums are measured in US gallons.

Cheers

Jon

I don't understand why people still talk about aquariums in gallons... the variation between UK and US is silly, especially when talking about big volumes...

21 US gallons

17 UK gallons

Hence the reason you should stick with litres as it doesn't change.

I use this site.
http://www.metric-conversions.org/volume/liters-to-uk-gallons.htm
According to that, 80litres is around 17 gallons uk.
minnnt beat me to it lol

It's the Celcius-Farenheit thing - it's whichever sounds most dramatic.

Hot weather is always Farenheit as in it's 90 degrees in the shade!!

When it's icy it's always in Celcius as -1 sounds better than 30 degrees.
