How Many Fish?

I've donated my old tank to my boyfriend it's 30 x 12 x 12" - how many zebra danio can he safely put in it?

You should be able to put about 12 to 15 zebras in a 20 gallon long, as long as that is all you put into it. You might want to consider a bit more variety and limit the zebras to 5 or 6 fish.

He has 10 in at the minute. There are some Zebra and some Leopard danio in there (5 of each I think).

Personally I'd agree, he should have more variety; but it isn't my choice - it's a cold water tank; what else could he put in? I could persuade him hahaha. We were tempted to put in a couple of American Flag fish but nothing else yet. Our shops don't offer much in the "coldwater" section.

WCMM might fit in. Not truly a cold water fish, but they are fine at room temperature.

Yea the tank is "room" temperature and not cold.
