Hello, I would like a straight up answer as to how many fish I can stock.

3ft 200 ltr

Currently have,

2 Gourami, 1 pearl femle, 1 opaline male. Both approx 2.5 inches.
2 Silver sharks, 1 approx 2.5 inch, 1 approx 1.5 inch.
2 Yo Yo loaches, both approx 1.5 inches.
2 Electric yellows, 1 male, 1 female. Both approx 1.5 inches
5 Black/silver neons, approx 1 inch.
R.I.P, 5 neons, eatin by something, guessing the large shark?

How big will my current fish grow, can I add anymore or is this enough?

Any advise appreciated.

Thanks, Aaron.

I think thats around a 35 gallon tank. Your about stocked there feller. Your gouramis will grow to nearly 6 inches, the silver sharks I'm guessing are bala sharks which can grow to nearly a foot long. The yo yo's can get about 6 inches, the yellows are an agressive territorial cichlid, I don't know how you've managed to keep them in that tank. They probably killed your neons.

yea i knew the yellows may be a risk but they were the last fish to go in and i have not seen them do
anything aggressive. Im guessing it was the shark that ate the neonsbecause this morning i watched
him spit out what looked like a tail and eat it again.

So the sharks will have to go then, to big for the tank?

At 1.5" the yellows (labidochromis caeruleus) have yet to reach sexual maturity, once they get around 2 -2.5" their temperment will change, often drastically, they can easily kill everything in your tank, even fish much larger than them. They also need an entirely different diet than the rest of your fish, they are herbivores, and if feed a meaty diet (standard tropical fish flakes main ingredients are fish and fish by products) they will most likely develop bloat. I'd highly recommend returning the l.caeruleus or setting up a tank just for african cichlids, it would need to be at least a 4 foot tank.
