How Many Females Together?

I have one but wanted another 2. Is this safe for them? How many do you have and how did you introduce them.

I started with 4 but I got mine from the same tank at the same shop.

I had 3, got another 1, then another 2, then another 1.
Introduced them the same as any other fish in a new tank and everything was fine

I just wanted to make sure 3 was ok. My new one is all good with my Platys no problem so far. She's just settled in a cave thing I have in there. It's funny how much slower they are compared to my platy.

its usually recommended to have atleast 5 if your having a groups, i had 7, then added 5 then a futher 2

I have 6 together 4 are from differently places then 2 and everyone is doing just fine with the exception of who gets to sleep inside one of the logs fights that happen every now and then but they end with someone running away and uninjured

I always read that you should keep them in a minimum of 5 aswell, to avoid bullying. I started off with 6 from my lfs. I re-homed one to a friend as she was very aggressive towards the others. I added another who came as part of a breeding pair. I am now waiting delivery of another 8 on Friday so that will make 14 same as lilfishie

I just had to take out my female who tried acting up to everyone in the tank because she was getting beat up for it thankfully only a torn tail

Oh no!!!!! That's put me off now. I want more but worry about the fighting.

Oh Siobhan I am so sorry to hear about Violet That's why I removed Martha from the tank. She was a beautiful fish, but the only one of the girls that seemed aggressive. She wouldn't leave the others alone. Luckily I have a friend with a low stocked tank (- basically just a couple of longfin bn's and some juvenile platys that I've bred and given her) so Martha went there and settled in straight away. New Martha coming on Friday along with 7 other of Dr Who's companions lol. Now I just need to wait until I can get a Captain Jack!
