A guy on ebay called ste12000, breeds diff types of apistos and they are good. It's where the male in my avatar came from (am I allowed to mention him?)

Just looked at ste12000 on ebay he has a few varieties of appisto's for sale and wouldn't be too far to collect from, which is always good lol. On another note I have some cherry shrimp in my trank would they be ok with appistos? If not I have a spare 20L tank which I could move them too, but that woould mean waiting a few weeks to cycle some media

You would be better off rehousing the cherry shrimp as it`s likely the Apistos will eat them

I have shrimp in my community tank but as they`re Amano shrimp they`re big enough to be left alone. The cherry shrimp would probably love being in another tank without the risk of being eaten

you could use some media from your tank that`s already cycled to start your 20L

If my male apisto is happy enough to spend over an hour, chowing down on a river shrimp, I would say cherries would be a very quick snack

well they will definitely be getting a new tank lol. I put an extra filter in the main tank(to transfer to the 20L) and an extra sponge in the filter to transfer to a very small filter (for a 10L) which will be going on the shrimp tank aswell
