How many Barred Gouramis?

Hello,
This is my first thread, so please correct me if I’ve asked the following question in the wrong place!

Currently I am looking for a good “main attraction” fish for my first tank.
The tank is 160 litres (42 gallons) in volume, and is fairly well planted, with a bogwood feature.
While searching for different gourami species, I came across the Barred Gourami, and wondered if my tank would be suitable for these fish, and if so, how many?
The only other fish in the tank at the moment are 8 Schwartzi Corys, and 4 Otos.

Could you post the dimensions of your tank and the pH and hardness of your water, please?

It's much easier for us to recommend fish that will thrive in your tank if we know that information

Sure thing!
The tank is 99 cm long, 39 cm wide, and 41 cm high.

My water params are:
ph - 8

general hardness - >16

carbonate hardness - 18

(The values are probably approximate, as for now I am using test strips)

Also, the gouramis I was thinking of are Banded Gouramis, not Barred Gouramis

The values for GH and KH, are they in degrees or ppm (parts per million) or mg/l (milligrams per liter)?

Yes, the hardness values are in degrees!
