hey everyone i need to know if my swordtail is ready to give brith. heres some pics.

shes quite big, i would say within a week, mine was smaller when she had hers and is the same colour as yours. donna

shes big also because shes the frist one to lunch. i only feed them once a day to.

Although i havnt kept swordtails in a VERY VERY VERY (get the drift) long time, i'd say mabey late week minimum, early next week onwards to be honest. The fish doesnt seem to be really bulging. To condition her, feed on live foods. I like buying live brine shrimp eggs and feeding them to the adults once they have hatched.

hi just saw your pic and wondered if that was a tiger barb in there with your swordtail if so how many tiger barbs have u got in there ? are you planning on puttin her in a breeder net/tank to have the babys ?

i know about how tiger barb are fin nipers but i have 6 of them in the tank. i plan on putting her in a 5 gallon tank in tell she gives brith but will she eat the ghost shrimp in the 5 gallon or will the shrimp eat the fry?
