Hi all,
I decided a couple of weeks ago to replace my Fluval 3+ with the new U2. I have it running in my 74L tank (well established) alongside the 3+, where it's been for 2 weeks now. My question is do you think it's ready to go on its own after 2 weeks of piggy-backing?
Cheers,
Max

I would say 4 - 6 weeks is more like it.

The best thing to do though (if there is space) is to remove the media from the established filter and put it into the new filter. That way the old filter can be removed straight away. Is there room to squeeze the sponges from the 3+ into the U2?

BTT
