the fact that a koi has lived to 225 years old ( it did have 3 owners and 2 died before it) is just scary

Do you have a site for this or something? Never heard of a 225 year old goldfish, most deep sea fish dont even get that old lol

Well koi is a very ancient fish that the Japanese have revered for longevity and prosperity since time immemorial. Who knows?! Lol

Well, some of the more ancient fish like bichirs, gars, lungfishes, arowanas are well-known to grow quite an age. A living testament to their existence is their almost unchanged appearance since millions of years ago
