How Long Is Fish Food Good For.

The pot of flakes and pot of pellets both say it's good for 18 months, I read it was only 3 months elsewhere.

i also read that after 3 moths the food is no longer as good. it is because assoon as the seal is broken the food starts to deteriate, and i also read that after 3 months the food has lost a good amount of its nutrition, so i always buy the small pots of food and most of that gets eaten in 3 months.

My small pots last AGESSSSSSSSS though.

I've heard that after about 5 months fish food isn't good anymore because it starts to lose nutritional value (not sure how)

Cant confirm but wouldnt worry about it :) aslong as the flakes/pellets arnt the sole source of nutrition then they'll do alright untill you run out :)

Can you freeze the food to help it last longer? (or freeze small sections, and when you need it, take out a section and use that until it's time to get out another section)

How about contacting a few manufacturers to see what they say? There's usually a shelf life for most dried foods. I guess it also helps to keep food in airtight containers :D
