How Long Does It Take...........

Last night, 2 of my guppies starting dropping fry. However, they still look pregnant plump and I only spotted a few fry.

Can guppies take days to give birth or is it the other fish in the community that are keeping them from dropping fully?

I have tried catching them but with no success spent an hour last night and over an hr this morning and still not caught the 2 females

If stressed they can drop and few and wait a couple more days.
They mainly give birth with in a few hours though.

Quite often they do still look plump as the already have the next batch of fry ready to go after giving birth.

I spotted fry last night but can't see any now. Although, they are ubber tiny I did spot them hiding in and under the pebble/stone section of the tank, hoping some have made it but not fully confident, esp with my male apisto was looking happy this morning

Yep he'll be muching on them and the betta to as they find them
