yesterday around this time I did a 50% water change on both my 10 and 28g tanks then added teh correct doseage or interpet anti bac no9 as i had 2 deaths which i believe to be related to internal bacteria

but today i noticed that my ram has white poo [no one else in the tank has just him] so how long does it take to kick in? or do i have to wait until the second doseage for it to be eradicated?

ps i hope this topic is okay here, as i didnt think that this was an emergency lol

It probably starts to work immediately, but it will take time for it to have noticeable impacts on the fish.

I would continue dosing what is required for the next couple of days until the treatment period is done, and then see then if the fish still has white poo.

What are your tank stats?

Does the fish have any other symptoms than the white poo, like coloring or bloating?

my tanks starts all all perfect ammonia-0 nitrite-0 nitrate 0.5 an ph 6.00

no other fish seems to be affected at all, he [the ram] hasnt lost his colour and is still acting normal chasing the female around etc just the white poo, its not stringy, ust solid white and quite thickish

I would be worried a little with a pH that low, about your autotrophic bacteria going dormant?

Do you have a lot of live plants in your tank?

How long has your tank had a pH of 6.0?

Just curious?
