How Long Can My Fish Go Without Being Fed?

Hi all,

I have around 30 odd fish in my 180l tank consisting of Various Rainbows, Black Ruby Barbs, Polka Dot Loach, some Khulis and a couple of Plecs and Angels.

I will be going away shortly for 5 days. Will they be ok for that long without food?

they will be fine. if you are slightly worried, put a holiday block in there. they normally last for 1-2 days so that will take your mind of things.

my fish normally go for 2-3 days without being fed. it makes them more hungry and is often more like their natural environment.

just give them a decent feed before you go, but obviously not rediculous amounts. perhaps feed them 2-3 times the day before you go, but small amounts each time.

from what I have read it seems they should be fine.
