Hey
i got 1 female(i think) betta in a 5 gal by herself. i put a mirror in front of her tank and started showing off her awsome colours :flex: but i was just wondering, how long can a betta flare for untill actually getting tired or giving up? and is it good for them to flare for a long time?

thanx

DD :)

Yeah, I have a boy who is really aggressive and flares at everything, including his reflection on the tank, his food, his cave, his plants, me, or anything nearby. He just swims around, flaring and showing off his finnage.

Very funny.

You should probably only leave the mirror up for a few minutes. Any longer than that and the betta may get overly stressed or exhausted.

dont have them at a mirror any longer than 15 minuts, flareing is healthy but if its done too much you could exhaust them and they may become ill -_-
