How long before you got a second tank?

I am just wondering how long some of you waiting before getting a second tank when you started fishkeeping.

Right now I only have 1 tank, a 10g. It has been running for months, but I just got fish into it recently. Even though I am just getting started in fishkeeping, I feel like I want a second tank.

So tell us (and me) how long did you have your first tank for before you bought a second one?

i had my first tank (10g) for about 3 - 4 months
Then i got my first 29g and had it for like 2 months
Then i got my 2nd 29g and i got it 4 days ago.

for me I was two months. I found a bargin on Ebay and couldn't resist

I set up my one and only tank about 3/4 months ago now and I think my only hope of getting another is to change my boyfriend! lol

I want another one sooooo bad.

Had my first tank up and running since March this year (125 Ltr) and now looking forward to setting up my new 180 Ltr tank in the next few days

About 10 years give or take 1 year, but I only really took over about a year ago, so about 8 months.

my daughter brought home a 10 gallon(borrowed) in feburary of this year. had to get her one cause her friend wanted hers back so we went shopping and came home with a 56 gal. 2 weeks later got her a new 10 gal. next week a 2.5 bowfront. about a month later got 55 and 1.6 hex and 5 gal and 1 gal(hubby was on vacation) mothers day 10 gal and 1.6 hex, about 4 weeks later was given 29 gal. now i am looking for a 100 or so, have to have somewhere for my common plec to live his whole life. and i still need a larger tank for the stand in the corner behind my couch. i have promised my hubby i will stop after this(hehe)
