So... I have read probably every page online on camallanus worms...
But I am still clueless...
Once camallanus are introduced into your tank, how long would it be until your fish start showing signs/illness from the worms?

I'm still not convinced that is what is in my tank... for there to be as many worms as I have vacuumed out of my gravel, I would assume they have been in there for quite a while... and my fish show no signs of a camallanus infection.
I'm certainly not complaining about reasonably healthy fish... I'm just stumped!
The only not healthy thing about my fish is a few guppies scratching. And I haven't read about that being a sign of a camallanus infestation.. flukes maybe... but that doesn't explain the worms in my gravel!!!!!!!! :/
I'm going to get some of the.... L word stuff... can't remember the name of it, but bits been discussed on an earlier post. But that will be Wednesday if not next week before I can order it.
For now I've just been doing daily vaccums. And there are less worms everyday... but I don't think its possible to get them all by vacuuming.... ugh.
Also that med I am talking about is suppose to treat flukes too? So... if my fish do have gill flukes, maybe I can kill two birds with one stone?!

Well there is a type of harmless worm that can live in the gravel, that is caused by over feeding and if you stir up the gravel your fish will et them and its harmless. But because your guppies are scratching that can be very bad. I had camalanus worms and still do. I have separated my fish, but they probably have it. I have no way how to cute, sorry. I can't find the medicine ad it's way too expensive for me.

Sorry I don't know anything about gill flukes :/

I believe what bluesword is referring to is Detritus worms? That could be what you're finding though am not 100%

I've looked at pictures of every type of worm that can be in a tank... and the only thing they look like are camallanus and tubifex.....
Blues word, do your fish with camallanus scratch?

And should I keep doing daily water changes or try every other day? I don't want to stress them too much.

My fish did scratch when they had it.  Do you see any worms actually coming out of their anus?  And do they have stringy white poo?

No worms coming out of any butts... their poop looks normal for the most part. They all eat fine. And none of them seem to be losing weight. Other than one female guppy that just dropped a load of fry.
