The Bristlenose should be okay. Keep an eye on them though, as they may acquire a taste for Discus slime coat!!

Tank works out to be about 65 gallon, so a group of 5 or 6 would be a good number to start with.

If you are going to get juvenile Discus, the tank will need to be bare bottom. Discus will need daily water changes and fed 3-4 times a day of a variety of foods.

If you are going to get adult Discus (5+ inches), then the tank can be either grave/sand or bare bottom. Adult discus require a minimum of twice a week water changes. More is never a bad thing. Feed them 2-3 times a day.

Temperature at 28-30C. Keep the tank at low current.

You are on the right start asking questions, keep asking them, and keep researching!

I don't think the Discus are going to eat the Plecos. The Pleco are more likely to suck on the Discus sides because of their nutrient rich slime coat. They should all be fine together but like I said, keep an eye on them.

ok if i dont have discus and cld be no now
wot other fish i cld have in the tank with my L182 bristlenose

i have no idea i have lost the plot on it now in tto minds in having discus now !!!!

ive got a 7" coomon with my discus and he dont bother them

It wasnt very rare in my tank. I had 5 discus and one King Tiger Pleco, for about 3 months he showed no interest in the discus. Then when I started feeding them an ocean nutrition discus mix that the pleco liked, he started to go after the discus to get to the food. After I saw him latch on to a discus one time he got a new home in a 5 gallon bucket.

I have to say i was shocked how easy the discus were when i first got mine.
