How fast so oscars grow?

I got a red tiger oscar a few weeks ago, right now he's about 3-4", and I absolutely love him!

How fast does an oscar usually grow? How long does it generally take for them to reach the huge sizes I've seen in some stores?

For the record, he's in a 75g, he's being fed pelleted food and freeze-dried bloodworms, and the temp is around 80 degrees.

I got my girl in August for my bday...She was about 2" when I bought her from the lfs...now, 5 months later, she is almost 8"....She was kept in a 90g until 7" lonmg, then switched over to my 112g. Oscars will grow 8-10" in their first year.

When they hit the 10" mark they will slow down alot, mine hit 10" in 10 months and its taken it another 5 months to grow an inch.
