I swear it's almost doubled in size and grow even more overnight, WAT? D:

Yea but overnight? With big cocktail sticks stuffed into them? :p

Oh yes, OVERNIGHT!
Xenia is a weird coral. It can grow like a weed in some tanks and die off in an afternoon in some. I've had tanks that I couldn't keep xenia in but the tank sitting right next to it had a giant colony. The pom pom xenia (a white and shorter species) moved from one side of my tank to the other (six feet) totally on its own. I now have two colonies growing up my overflows. Go figure...

I'll have to keep my eye on it to see if it grows anymore.

It's easy to frag but can be difficult to totally get rid of. An entire colony can be reproduced from just a few cells. I frag it using scissors. You can then trade or sell the frags easily. The problem is, this leaves behind part of the colony still attached to the rock which will eventually grow into a new colony. It's much like the Kenya tree coral in that regard. Pom Pom and Blue Xenia are favorites of mine.

The guy said it was the pom pom ones, I got it all for free so am happy. I have a friend that stays near me thats interested in some of it if I start growing a ton of it :p

Free is very good! It's also a good coral for absorbing nutrients as it tends to uptake nitrates well which is unusual for most corals. I know two people who use it in their lighted sump as a kind of biological filter.

That's something new, Quite like the idea of it taking up nitrates as there tends to be some floating around in nano tanks I'd rather not have.

That's why it grew so well in my BioCube, It was a lagoonal tank with higher nutrients and the xenia loved it. Now, other forms of xenia like blue xenia and to some degree pom pom do not like as high of nutrients as the classic pulsing xenia like in the video.
