How Far Gone Are My Guppies?

Can anyone tell my how much longer before my guppies give birth/ Also, what are the signs that birth is immenent?

they have fry once amonth, u can tell by the little black spot behind the anal fin

It looks to me you have plenty of time. Well not too much. But I doubt their ready now. Mine just gave birth about 10 mins. ago. ooh yah what lawrie said.

Some symptoms of a coming "pop" are:

Mother hangs out near heater
Pacing up and down the side of the tank
Refusal to eat
a slightly pointed bottom of the abdoment, or rear, lol.

Thank you Hayley that's very helpful. I am borowing a small tank to put the females in when it looks like the fry are coming, what type of filtration would you recommend? the tank they are in at the moment has a fluval 2 but the current is so strong, i was wondering if an under gravel would be better or would that suck the babies down?

i ecomend you use a sponge fillter as one of my guppies got sucked into the inlet of other small internals - you can make your own sponge filter it is pinned on te diy and hardware section.
