Here's the fish I'm looking at getting:

• 6 Zebra Danios
• 6 Balck Wido Tetra or Black Phantom Tetra
• ? Ottos
• 1 Swordtail

and I'd like to add to that mix:
• Blue Dwarf Gourami - and how many?

• ? Ottos
• 1 Swordtail
• ? Blue Dwarf Gouramis

alrighty, i have no experience with Gouramis so i'll let someone else handle that.

• 6 Zebra Danios
• 6 Black Phantom Tetra
• 2 Ottos
• 3 Swordtails
• 4 Albino Cories
• 1 Blue Dwarf Gourami

i think most Gouramis are territorial and will attack others of their own kind, so i'll stick to that. otherwise it sounds nice, the Sword just needs friends and the Cories add a bit of scavenging and playfulness where you had floaty-driftyness.

I'd say adding a dwarf gourami to that mix should be just fine. However, BettaBoys is right about them being very territorial, so I'd just suggest staying with only one male. She's also right about a lot of the things she mentioned such as friends for the swordtail (probably best if you have 1 male 2 females), and some cories - they're wonderful little fish. Have fun!

So I can have both Otos and Corys? Both are bottom feeders - that won't be a problem?

Oh and thanks for the advice, too!

Both otos and cories are shoaling fish and would each like a group of 6 or more. Two shoals like that won't fit in a 30 gal, so I suggest you choose either.
