Hi,

I know that you connect to the tap and it sucks the water out and you can then refill with fresh water but i don't understand how you condition the water before it goes back in the tank ?

Can anyone enlighten me please ?

Most people say they put conditioner in as they're filling up. IOW if you're doing a 25% water change on a 55, then you'll be taking out about 14 gallons so you would put in enough conditioner for 14 gallons and do it before filling or maybe half before and half during. It sounds like water conditioner is not something that has to be exact.

Whenever I fill my tank back up after a WC, no matter how much I take out, I put a bit of dechlor in as it's filling, and then I put more in after it's finished. I have found this is the best method for my tank.
