How Do You Sex Shrimp?

Also how long do they live for ,this aquarium shop has told me that he`s got one that s ten years old?

Amano shrimp do grow older than other freshwater shrimp, not sure age wise though? I dont really think you can sex them, i've found nothing on the internet about it.

[Edit] The easiest way to determine the sex of an Amano Shrimp is their lowest stripe along the length of the body. Male shrimp have a line of separate dots while females have dashes almost appearing to be a broken line.

Thanks Little Nemo,was confused about age as one shop said they live until 10 years ,another 14 months,and no ,i can`t find any info on the internet either!

I don't know how long they do live, but I can tell you that I got mine in Feb 2009 so it's longer than 14 months.
