All the plants I have in my tank are rooted plants like glosso, amazon swords, java fern, and anubias. I want to plant some stem plants in my tank to combat the algea. Everytime I plant the stem plants in they keep on floating up. If I plant them too deep im afraid that the lower part will die off. Help please

I generally strip the bottom 1inch of any leaves and push it gently into the sand. It should root in a week or so. The other option is to float the plants until they grow a few roots and then plant them. This way they are less likely to float.

You can also use plant weights to hold them down.

One of the best algae busters is a floating plants, Hornwort, so no need to worry about rooting :)
